Protecting Your Data
- For the safety of your own data and storage devices:
- Eject them PROPERLY. Improper removal of storage devices can result in complete loss of data and damage to your device!
- Do NOT work directly from storage devices. This, too, can damage data and your device! Work Will Be Deleted!
- At the end of every Saturday, these folders will automatically be deleted by the computer:
- Save Till Saturday
- Documents
- Trash
Server Data Safety
- For your own protection
- Do NOT save any personal information on the servers. These are public servers!
- Disconnect from the server after use.
- Never rely on this server space as permanent storage space or your ONLY data storage space at any given time. Always keep a back-up somewhere else, such as USB Drive or any external storage.
- Although it is unlikely that students will lose data on the server due to server failure, it is quite possible to lose data as a result of students leaving connections mounted on computer desktops. Anyone can then modify the contents of any files within the folders to which you have "write" permissions.
